Chocolate Hearts

Here we go with some more candy!!Another fun treat with no baking required. These are fun to fill with any Valentine treats you like! This is all you need:
Chocolate candy melts(or white chocolate)
candy pour box molds
your choice of filling

In order to make hearts you can fill , you need to use what is called a "pour box" mold. This is what they look like before they are filled.I have used both large & small sizes. These molds are usually available at your local candy making supply store,or can be purchased online.I purchased mine at http://www.confectioneryhouse.com/ .
As I have done in prior posts,I melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Then spoon the chocolate into the molds.Place in the freezer for approximately 15 minutes. If you look at the bottom of the mold, the chocolate should no longer look wet...that is how you know it is ready to unmold.Carefully unmold the chocolate and fill with the candy of your choice,as I have above.
These also make great favors for parties, and are a fun treat to send into your child's classroom.Just place in a clear bag(available at craft stores) and wrap with a festive ribbon!
